JOB TITLE: Geo-Environmental Consultant / Geotechnical Consultant
JOB SUMMARY: To be part of a team delivering a range of geotechnical and/or geo-environmental assignments including (but not limited to): desk studies, ground investigations, human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments and preparation of remediation method statements.

LOCATION: Bristol
SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000pa
MUST HAVES: Degree (or equivalent) in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science; Working towards Chartered Engineer/Geologist status; Three years' experience in Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental role;

The COMPANY
My client are a growing multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy and specialist land remediation contractor; specialising in a wide range of industries such as commercial, manufacturing, logistics, retail and residential for a variety of end users.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Conduct desk studies, ground investigations, groundwater and gas risk assessments and preparation of remediation method statements.
*To provide clients with geotechnical and/or geo-environmental advice and assistance as required on an ad hoc basis
*To assist with negotiations with relevant regulatory authorities (NHBC, EA, LA etc.) as necessary.

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Degree (or equivalent) in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science
*Working towards Chartered Engineer/Geologist status
*Three years' experience in Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental role
*You will have a good working knowledge of appropriate British Standards, Eurocodes, Industry Guidance and NHBC Standards.
*Experience gained in ground investigation, interpretation and reporting

The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with good analysis and technical capability in MS Word. Experience of MS Excel, AutoCAD and geotechnical assessment and modelling would also be desirable.
