MUST HAVES: Significant experience working for a PR agency preferably with a client(s) in the oil and petrochemical industry. You will be an Associate Director or a very senior Account Manager.
The COMPANY
Our client is a leading global public relations and marketing agency with offices in 81 countries.
The ROLE
Our client have a 10+ year relationship with a giant in the field of petrochemicals and this role has been created to consolidate their position, identify and tap into new opportunities, as well as develop new ways of working.
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Lead both Global and EMEA projects to raise awareness of the company's offer in sectors including marine, power generation, steel, construction and oil & gas.
*Play a key role in shaping regional and global comms strategy for some of the client's most profitable areas of business.
*Manage and grow significant budgets to drive innovation in B2B integrated marketing, in EMEA and globally.
*Provide consultancy to senior executives to help position and differentiate the brand in the marketplace.
*Lead and mentor a team of 11.
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for an experienced B2B Associate Director who will join as an additional member of the leadership team with the following experience:
*You must have worked for an agency previously and so be used to an agency environment.
*You will ideally have had experience of working with a technical company and product preferably in the oil and petrochemical industry.
*Familiarity with engineering terminology, as well as a foreign language would be an advantage, but not obligatory.
*The ability to think strategically and creatively around often complex business challenges and opportunities.
*Flair for working as part of an international, integrated agency team, with the drive to broaden traditional view of 'PR'.
*Genuine passion for product-focused and issues communications.
*Ability to quickly build client trust and provide credible senior counsel in a complex business environment.
*Ability to proactively suggest how PR and communications programmes can help address business challenges and drive sales.
*Familiarity with B2B digital platforms, tools and solutions.
*Experience in positioning a brand as a thought leader within an industry.
*Strong background in B2B comms: brand/product positioning, key messages, technical writing, trade media relations, toolkit development.
*Team leadership/management skills: recruitment, resource allocation, mentoring and coaching, as well as leveraging other experts outside of core team.
