Sales Engineer - Power Transmission/Engineering Components to OEM's
Salary: c.£35-40K Basic + £45K OTE + Company Car + Contributory Pension

The COMPANY
Our client designs and manufactures mechanical power transmission and workholding systems that are recognised as simply the best in the market and are therefore used by many of the World's leading OEMs. A reputation they have earned because of the quality of both their products and service and has been achieved by continual investment in R&D and nurturing their most important component - the staff.

Based from their Midlands Offices they have successfully been servicing the UK market for over forty years. Their leading range of power transmission products (brakes, industrial gears, couplings, torque limiters, precision clamping, freewheels, flange couplings, flexible couplings, shrink disks, clutches, conveyor systems, gearboxes etc.) are used to aid automation or by OEM's in the manufacturing process (machine builders, manufacturers, conveyor belting, printing machines, textile machine, machine tools, packaging machinery, woodworking machines, pumps, fans, etc.). Additionally they design and develop specialist cables and workholding solutions (jigs, clamps, fixtures, etc.) for many of the UK's biggest manufacturers.

The ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious proactive Area Sales Manager with good technical knowledge to drive forward sales within the North, an area where they are consistently strong in especially the power transmission (couplings, freewheels, brakes, cone clamping elements, etc.) side of the business.

*Managing current account base
*Reigniting relationships with dormant accounts
*Gap/cross selling to existing customers
*Use their outstanding reputation to secure new business
*Grow client base - through technical sales and strong negotiations
*Chase project work
*4 days a week on the road, 1 home office based

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for an ambitious commercially minded individual with the following attributes:

*Sales experience into oem machine builders
*Technical/mechanical engineering background
*Good Power Transmission knowledge (gears, gearbox, coupling, freewheel, clutch, motors, cables, workholding, clamping, etc.)
*Enthusiastic and dynamic character with a proactive sales approach
*A genuine desire for development and a challenging position where you can lead from the front

The PACKAGE
Basic Salary depending on experience
Uncapped commission, with accelerators for over performance, £5K for simply maintain present sales
