JOB TITLE: Payroll Officer - 3 days a week
LOCATION: Wellingborough
SALARY: £20,000 - £25,000
CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary to Permanent

The COMPANY
Our Northamptonshire-based client is a very well-established private school with a rich history. With 230 people on the payroll, the school are looking for a Payroll and pensions Officer to join their team.

The ROLE
The successful Payroll Officer will be required to do the following:
*To deliver accurate and timely in-house payroll - including new starters, leavers, benefits, contract changes, sickness absence payments, benefit schemes, maternity, and paternity pay.
Pension calculations including reconciliation.
*Administer the statutory schemes, such as Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Pension schemes etc.
*Responsible for upload and production of payslips, P60's and P45 documents.
*Complete P11D process with submission to HMRC/finance and production of forms for distribution to relevant employees.
*Respond to any payroll and pension queries in a timely manner.
*Update School auto-enrolment pension provider as required and carry out monthly assessment of workers.
*To assist the HR department when required.
*This is a temporary role to last at least three months with the intention that you will be seriously considered for the permanent position.
*You will be issued with a DBS prior to starting with the School.

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong Payroll Specialists with the following experience and attributes:
*A relevant qualification in payroll, finance, accounting (Preferably CIPP).
Experience and proficiency in the use of databases and payroll software.
*Previous/current experience of payroll processes.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to work effectively both within a team and under own initiative
