Furniture Retail Supervisor
INDUSTRIES: Retail
LOCATION: Rutland
SALARY: £20,500 - £21,500
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: 0800-1730 (5 days a week to include one alternate weekend day)
The COMPANY
Our client is is one of the largest independent destination garden centres in the UK. They now have a team of around 200 people who work in this prestigious centre. Furniture - both garden and indoor - is a very large part of their business and they are looking for a Supervisor to run this section.
The ROLE
Due to the on-going retail expansion, they are currently looking for a Retail Furniture Specialist who will be responsible for the following duties:
*You will be supervising 12 staff in this busy department.
*Deal with credit, finance and warranties.
*Organise and maintain personnel records, entering new hire data.
*You will help to create displays and promotional activities.
*Ensure that the department runs smoothly.
*Excellent career prospects.
The CANDIDATE
The successful Retail Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
*Previous experience in a similar role ideally within furniture sales.
*Understand the seasonal changes and adjust the look of the store accordingly.
*Take a pro-active part in developing sales opportunities.
*Understand credit, finance, and warranties.
*You will have a friendly personality, with an ability to engage easily and connect with customers.
