1st Line IT Support - Secondary School
LOCATION: Northampton
SALARY: £ 10 - £11.54 per hour
CONTRACT: Temporary - IMMEDIATE START
MUST HAVE: previous experience of working on an IT Helpdesk
The COMPANY
Our client is a very well well-established secondary school and Sixth Form.
The ROLE
The IT Helpdesk Support Consultant will be required to:
*Provide first line support to all users over the phone, face-to-face, by email and via remote software and the IT Service Desk web portal.
*Provide a point of contact and logging all calls received.
*Carry out first fix, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
*Installation, configuration and maintenance of desktop and laptop hardware and software
*Setting up new users, disabling expired accounts and completing internal users moves, including phones
*Work with 3rd party suppliers to resolve support issues and fulfil maintenance and technical management tasks
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for a strong IT 1st Line Support candidate with the following skills and experience:
*Proven experience of supporting ICT hardware and software in a large organisation
*Proven ability to communicate with colleagues with varying levels of ICT skills in potentially pressured circumstance
*Proven ability to use ICT systems and tools to provide remote support including resolving incidents, reimaging devices and installing software
*Good communication skills.
*Full driving license and access to a vehicle to use for business travel
