1st Line IT Support

JOB TITLE: 1st Line IT Support
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: 08.30 -17.00; Monday - Friday
Our Northamptonshire-based client is a very well established and sizeable major manufacturer of packaging products. Their turnover is £82m and has four sites in the UK.
The successful 1st Line IT Support candidate will be required to do the following:
*To be part of a support team of four to look after over 200 users.
*Taking inbound calls from internal users with technical issues providing a high level of customer service;
*Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries including ownership, feedback, allocation and follow up;
*To take ownership of user problems and be proactive and understanding when dealing with user's issues - ultimately provide help and advice to users of the I.T. services and be able to offer appropriate technical guidance and advice;
*To ensure all calls and tickets are raised with detailed information of user issues accurately on the Call Management system;
*Investigation and diagnosis of IT faults and problems - this will include hardware and software problems on client PC, systems and network equipment;
*Escalating any complex incidents to 2nd/3rd Line Engineers in-line with company processes / SLA's;
*Installation, configuration and working on Microsoft desktop operating systems;
*Installation and configuration of desktop PC systems and business applications for instance MS Windows;
*Develop an understanding of mobile device technology and its use within the workplace;
*Configuration and Administration of mobile device technology i.e. BlackBerry / Apple / Nokia phones & tablet devices;
Our client is looking for strong Customer service applicants with the following experience:
*This role will suit an outgoing and motivated individual already in, or hoping to start, an exciting and rewarding career as an IT Help Desk Support Analyst/Technician.
*Have a genuine passion for IT and be willing to look for opportunities to assist IT Staff members, undertake day to day IT Support, and provide system/network support.
*Will need to have an excellent telephone manner with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
*Attention to detail and Self-motivated.
*Must have a drivers licence and a car.
*Have a flexible approach to working.
