3rd Line Support Engineer
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: 37.50 hours

The successful IT Support Engineer (3rd Line) will be required to:
*Handling and resolving complex incidents, service requests and problems which have been escalated through defined service desk processes
*By providing support to all users over the phone, face-to-face, by email and via remote software and the IT Service Desk web portal.
*By triaging and escalating more complex issues to third party suppliers in compliance.
*Work with 3rd party suppliers to resolve support issues and fulfil maintenance and technical management tasks.
*Assist in the procurement, configuration and implementation of new software and applications.
*Provide technical advice/guidance to IT team members and project teams, sharing knowledge in a planned manner.
*Effectively administer and proactively improve the Trust's Active Directory and Group Policy infrastructure and provide subject matter expertise and support multiple systems and applications of medium and high complexities.
Our client is looking for a strong IT support Engineer (3rd Line) applicant with the following experience:
*Experience of working with dynamic and fast-moving IT environments providing 1-2-1 support to users whilst escalating internally and highlighting service improvements.
*IT related qualification (service management or IT qualifications, e.g. Microsoft Certifications)
*Excellent knowledge and proficiency in at least 4 of the following technologies: Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7-10 Desktop, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, or Office 365, Virtualisation Technologies (Hyper-V / VMware) and Citrix.
*Good knowledge of IT security principles, including firewall configuration, VPNs, and DNS management.
*Good knowledge of Networking, TCPIP, Firewalls, Routing, Switch Management and Virtual LANs
*Ability to troubleshoot and resolve 3rd line requests and incidents.
*Ability to prioritise and manage own and team workloads.
