Purchasing Manager - Electronics
The COMPANY
Our client is a well established manufacturer of secure communication systems. In the last +90 years they have become the UK market leaders in their sphere, gaining an enviable reputation for the quality of their product, service and most importantly staff.
The ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Buyer to join their successful team. Duties in this diverse role include;
* Buying, predominantly electronic components
* Developing Standard Operating Procedures
* Take responsibility for contracts with both existing and new suppliers
* Supervise two Purchasing Assistants
The CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a talented buying/procurement professional with experience, preferably within a similar environment allied to the desire, ability and confidence to forge a career within a market leading organisation. You will be a flexible purchaser/buyer possessing a wide range of skill including;
Experience in buying/purchasing within manufacturing
* Strong sourcing ability
* Good relevant experience - ideally CIPS (or working towards)
* Excellent negotiating skills
* Strong communication skills
* IT literate (Microsoft Office), with good Excel
* MRP/ERP knowledge
* A strong team player
Salary: c.£40K + Package
