IT Field Service Engineer

LOCATION: High Wycombe
SALARY: £38-£48,000 Depending on Experience + car + Package
Our client has a network of local IT support offices staffed by experienced business and technical specialists. They provide a proactive and bespoke service, including a mixture of onsite visits and unlimited helpdesk support, designed to offer SME businesses the appropriate level of back-up that is required. Above all they appreciate the importance of a functioning IT system to a Client and their friendly "can-do" attitude has won them a deserved reputation for the quality of both their service and, their most important element, staff.
The successful IT Field Service Engineer will be required to:
*Operate as the IT Manager for 10 to 15 clients.
*Carry out preventative checks and maintenance to ensure optimum performance of the clients systems.
*Deliver fixes to priority issues that cannot be resolved by the Helpdesk during on- site visits.
*Create and review an IT roadmap for each client that provides an overview of future activity.
*Manage quarterly review meetings with all clients
*Build trusted relationships with clients.
*Present the value of additional products, services and days on-site as part review meetings, contract day meetings and using the roadmap where appropriate.
*Offer advice to Clients regarding any beneficial/necessary upgrades as required.
Our client is looking for a strong IT Field Service Engineer applicant with the following experience:
*Excellent Client skills.
*Previous field support/service experience.
*Microsoft Certified Professional.
*Server Virtualization experience.
*Knowledge of a wide range of packages (VMWare, Veeam, Hyper V, Citrix, Cisco, etc.)
*Configure and support SAN's.
*Advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft server hardware and software including Exchange
*Firewalls, Antivirus and Backup expertise
*Comprehensive networking skills
*Business case / proposal preparation and report writing
*Managing a client meeting
*Able to define an IT strategy / plan for a client
