JOB TITLE: Desktop Support Analyst
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
SALARY: £22,000 to £27,000 dependent on skills and experience.

The COMPANY
Our client has a network of local IT support offices staffed by experienced business and technical specialists. They provide a proactive and bespoke service, including a mixture of onsite visits and unlimited helpdesk support.

The ROLE

This is a challenging role that will excite the successful candidate. You will be embedded on a Client's site, meaning that you will be our Client's face within one of their key customers. The successful candidate will be required to do the following:

*Taking calls and direct requests from users spread across the clients multiple sites.
*Logging calls into a helpdesk system to ensure the tracking and prioritisation of issues.
*Resolving helpdesk calls to a 1st and 2nd line support level
*Creating and updating information and documentation for the clients systems.
*Involvement in key IT projects delivered on behalf of the client.
*Providing professional remote support over the telephone and via remote control tools to other locations.
*Escalating issues and problems to the onsite Infrastructure Manager for resolution.
*Managing expectations of the end users.
*Attending regular IT meetings with the client.
*Ensuring all Technical documentation is up to date and accurate.
*Actively participating in self-development.

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for an exceptional applicant with the following experience:

*3+ years' experience of 1st / 2nd line desktop support
*Experience in supporting high profile users
*Extensive knowledge and experience in Windows Operating Systems
*Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
*Microsoft Exchange administration
*TCP/IP
*Network trouble-shooting
*Firewalls (preferably Watchguard)
*Antivirus (preferably Kespersky)
*Backup technologies
*Ability to build and deploy new machines
*A real attention to detail when resolving issues
*Having a smart and professional appearance at all times.
*Excellent communication skills with real customer focus.
