1st Line IT Support - Helpdesk
LOCATION: Oxfordshire
SALARY: £23,000

The ROLE
The IT Helpdesk Support Consultant will be required to:
*Provide first line support to all users over the phone, face-to-face, by email and via remote software and the IT Service Desk web portal.
*Provide a single point of contact for non-IT staff and logging all calls received.
*Carry out service requests in line with relevant policies and processes.
*Carry out first fix, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
*Installation, configuration and maintenance of desktop and laptop hardware and software
*Setting up new users, disabling expired accounts and completing internal users moves, including phones
*Carry out documented routine scheduled tasks to support the effective operation of the IT Department.
*Work with 3rd party suppliers to resolve support issues and fulfil maintenance and technical management tasks.
*This job will require a mixture of home office working and work in the office.
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for a strong IT 1st Line Support candidate with the following skills and experience:
*Experience of working with dynamic and fast-moving IT environments providing 1-2-1 support to users whilst escalating internally and highlighting service improvements.
*5 GCSEs at C grade or above, including Maths and English
*Proven experience of supporting ICT hardware and software in a large organisation.
*Proven ability to communicate with colleagues with varying levels of ICT skills in potentially pressured circumstance
*Proven ability to use ICT systems, and tools to provide remote support including resolving incidents, reimaging devices and installing software
*Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
*Full driving license and access to a vehicle to use for business travel
