Graduate Engineer - Building Services
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £24,000 Starting salary, rising to £26K after six months and £28K after a year - Ongoing training programme.

The ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Engineer to join a successful & expanding organisation. Due to continued planned growth they now require an additional Trainee Building Services Design Engineer. You will be trained to produce electrical designs for data centre design & build bids including supply (transformers & switchboards), standby power systems, general power and lighting. This can be broken down into the following core responsibilities;

*Presales Design & Proposal Development - Work as part of the design team to create written proposal documents, design drawings, equipment selection and creation of technical schedules.
*PQQ Tender responses
*Negotiate and raise orders with specialist subcontract suppliers
*Post Sales Design Responsibility - Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed equipment schedules and Pre-construction issue drawings. Documentation will include Visio drawings, schematics, schedules, equipment layouts, etc.

* Well educated in a relevant discipline eg. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
* AutoCAD knowledge
* Driving License
* Excellent work ethic
* High attention to detail allied to good written skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills

A broad ability to solve electrical, mechanical and I.T related challenges is key to successful data centre design
