Assistant Accountant/Project Accountant
Location: South Lincolnshire, Rutland, North Cambridgeshire
Salary: £28-32K Depending on Experience + Excellent Package

The COMPANY

Our client is a well established Global manufacturer of power generation/combustion equipment to a variety of industries including petrochemical, power stations, oil & gas, etc. Their market leading comprehensive product range includes thermal oxidizers, burners, flare systems and pollution control equipment.

The ROLE

Due to an internal promotion in their EMEA business an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant/PQ Accountant to join their successful team. This role will involve;

*Management of project accounting process
*Produce monthly financial statements
*Review Job-To-Date cost compared to project budgets
*Monthly project review meetings with Project Engineer's
*Collating data for individual projects
*Produce monthly financial statements
*Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly management reports

This is not just "average" Assistant Accountant role, the right candidate will be a key member of teams working on international projects, some worth several million, that may take up to two years to complete - With responsibility for up to 300 ongoing projects this is certainly a challenging role.

The CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be a talented professional with experience preferably within a similar manufacturing environment allied to the desire, ability and confidence to forge a career within a market leading organisation. You will require;

Accountancy - Working towards CIMA/ACCA or fully AAT
Experience working in a finance department in manufacturing
Knowledge of project accounting including revenue and cost actual/budget/forecast
Sage 200 would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Ambitious
