JOB TITLE: Corporate Accounts Internal Sales
JOB SUMMARY: To take orders from clients and see the order through to completion. To, on occasion, pro-actively call clients to obtain business.

Location: Manchester
Salary: £17,000 - £19,000 basic PLUS annual bonus
Contract Type: FIXED TERM 12 MONTH CONTRACT
Applicants MUST HAVE: Previous customer service experience with some sales.

The COMPANY
Our client is one of the leading suppliers of industrial control and automation products in the UK. They have secured a nationwide network of sales locations employing over 200 personnel.

THE ROLE
The successful Sales Administrator / Internal Sales person will be required to:
*Deal with customer orders and enquiries over the telephone, fax and post, checking prices, discounts and stock availability.
*Ensure that all sales and purchase orders are complete and accurate before entry onto the system
*To progress any outstanding customer orders on suppliers or via central purchasing
*To check and tie up confirmation orders and advise customers of any discrepancies
*Source and price non-stocked items to satisfy customer requirements
*Meet the branch KPI's to maximise sales; maintain and grow the number of trading accounts; and increase the range of products sold.
*Cross referencing and switch selling of products to maximise profitability.
*Liaise with Sales Engineers, other departments and branches
*General Office Administration duties
THE CANDIDATE
*Good standard of general education particularly in English and Maths.
*Preferably, to have worked in a similar sales office environment
*Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
*Good keyboard skills with attention to detail.
*Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
*Technical knowledge is extremely desirable, though not essential.
