The COMPANY
Our client provide crate washing services for the major supermarkets on a huge scale. Around 280 million crates are washed a year over 5 sites. They have recently expanded to the USA and now have a plant in Atlanta.
The ROLE
Our client is looking for an experience engineer for their Wellingborough plant which has around 120 staff. The successful Engineer candidate will have the following duties:
*In charge of a team of 4 staff across 4 shifts.
*Review the performance of your team, rain, mentor and be in charge of recruitment.
*Prepare work practices for the engineers and technicians
*Prepare reports for, and plan project work with the management team.
*Carry out preventative maintenance work on the machines and maintain records accordingly.
*Ensure efficient running of the tray washing machine
*Perform quality checks- Quality process parameters such pressure reading, chemical dosage are clearly defined and the monitoring of specified items is paramount.
*You are required to ensure the schedule of works and ensure this is completed in a timely manner.
*To ensure the maintenance of the operating systems and other technical equipment is kept up to date and trained out. Notification of any faults and rectify immediately.
*Guide the junior engineers on carrying out various tasks efficiently.
*Involved in recruiting engineers as well as providing them essential training.
*To plan the PPM program in line with the Engineering Manager
*Support the whole site with building and general maintenance where needed.
*Support with stock taking and parts inventory
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong team player with the following background and skills set;
*Maintenance background in a manufacturing industry.
*Experience of engineering - mechanical and electrical.
*Review the performance of your team, rain, mentor and be in charge of recruitment.
*Experience of managing a team.
