Aggregates Planning Consultant

The COMPANY
Our client one of the UK's leading supplier of aggregates to the construction industry. They have earned a deserved reputation for the quality of both their products and service. They have achieved this by continually investing in cutting edge technology within their facilities and, importantly, having a well trained and motivated workforce.
The ROLE
Due to continued expansion and sustained growth hey now an experienced Mineral and Waste Planner to join their established planning team. This is a key role in the development of their local mineral and waste business. Duties include;
*Responsibility for the Development Plan Document with Local Authorities
* Prepare and present evidence at Public Hearings/Inquiries
*Preparation and submission of planning applications
*Preparation of Environmental Statements
*Assume management of the planning process until a decision has been made
*Prepare feasibility studies of new sites
*Site review meetings
*Attend frequent meetings with Local Authorities
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong team player with the desire to learn and forge a career, experience within a similar position, ideally evaluating mineral resources, is essential. The right candidate will possess the following background and skills set;
*Experience of working as a planner and/or Minerals Surveyor in industry or local authority
*Qualified RTPI or RICS member
*Good knowledge of planning legislation
*Full UK driving licence
