The COMPANY
Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of outdoor and leisure pursuit (cycling) equipment. They are a family run business that has gained a well-deserved reputation for their high-quality products and services delivered by their motivated and knowledgeable staff. They have a large chain of stores and a very successful Ecommerce site.

The ROLE
The successful Supply Chain Manager will be required to:

*Assume ownership of operational activities that have a clear focus on safety, cost management and business growth with regular reporting to the Directors on performance and actions.
*Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed and that work in collaboration with Retail, Marketing, Ecommerce and Finance.
*Deliver of the operational strategy of the Company, working alongside the Commercial Director in its inception, construction and execution.
*Take Ownership of the distribution channels, both internally and externally.
*Work directly with the Financial Director to deliver the agreed operational budget and the setting of any new budgets
*Ensure that all processes remain compliant with Health and Safety and other governmental regulations
*Line management of the Logistics team.
*Supplier relations at a peer to peer level.
The CANDIDATE
The successful Supply Chain Manager will have the following skills and experience:

*A proven track record of successfully communicating strategic projects across all levels of a business to drive improvements in revenue, internal processes and stock control.
*The ability to analyse big data, using relevant IT skills, to draw accurate conclusions to support operational decisions based on key information.
*Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to foster a calm, friendly, professional and helpful working environment from a leadership position, even when working under pressure in a fast- moving sector.
*The proven ability to network, internally and externally, to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps
*High levels of numeracy and great negotiating skills.
*Successful experience of project management.
*High levels of presentation skills within a business and senior management context.
*The ability to work remotely when required, while maintaining excellent communications with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
