BDM for Anixter
Business Development Manager - Vendor Managed Inventory Solutions and Cable - to OEMs
Mana Search & Selection is proud to be acting as the retained consultant for Anixter in their search for a new External Sales person covering South of England (predominantly the Home Counties and East Anglia).

Anixter in the UK
In the UK Anixter operate three distinct businesses, Fasteners (primarily into transport), ECS (data comms, structured wiring, security, etc) and Industrial W&C (Wire and Cable) which includes OEM Solutions (industrial consumables) - with a combined turnover in excess of £500M employing 950 staff in 23 locations throughout Britain.
The Role
Due to continued success they now require an experienced BDM to work for their OEM Solutions Division which enjoyed double digit growth in 2013 and is predicted to better that performance in 2014. You will be tasked with providing supply change solutions to OEMs / engineering / manufacturing in a myriad of vertical market sectors including defence, rail, aerospace, power generation, looms/harnesses, aviation, vending, engineers and general manufacturing - basically any firm that makes something.
You will be tasked with proactively pursuing new clients within the area in addition to account managing a portfolio of existing accounts with considerable potential for growth. Anixter's business model lends itself to working in partnership with clients who have a large potential spend and would benefit from their wrap around services such as VMI / JIT / Vending.
The Candidate
Our client is looking for an experienced Business Developer with the following qualities:
*Experience of increasing penetration/maximising potential within existing accounts.
*Successful history in proactively winning new business and then assuming responsibility for managing it.
*Knowledge of this route to market (engineering, OEM, manufacturing, etc.) is essential.
*The ability to sell a concept/solution.
*Experience selling/knowledge of VMI systems and/or cable is desirable.
Salary: £Depending on Experience, Uncapped Commission, Car & Pension.
