Sales Manager - Industrial Consumables
Salary: £38K-£45K Basic & +£10K OTE & Car Allowance & Pension
Our client, an $8Billion Global distributor of engineering spares/industrial consumables (wire, cable, fasteners, abrasive, adhesive, etc.) to Electrical Contractors / Engineers / Data Comms, is anything but your stereotypical industrial supply company. Due to their "can do attitude" they have gained a deserved reputation for the quality of both their service and, their most important component, the staff.
Due to an internal promotion an opportunity has recently arisen to manage and inspire their stable and successful team in the Home Counties based from their branch in Luton. This is not a "me to" product sale you are offering a value added solution (Total Cost of Ownership - TCO, Just-in-Time - JIT, TPS, Kanban, inventory management systems, etc.) You will be required to:
*Manage a small internal sales team.
*Assume responsibility for a £6M target.
*Personally Key Account manage significant accounts.
*Ensure the team proactively pursue new business.
*Branch P+L responsibility.
*Set budgets and forecasts.
*Coach and develop your staff.
Our client is looking for an exceptional business manager with the following qualities:
*Sales management experience.
*Considerable business acumen.
*Experience of developing existing business.
* Excellent Key Account Management skills.
*Must enjoy working in a lively close-knit team environment.
*Understanding of the route to market would be beneficial.
*Good academic background.
*The drive and ambition to drive your career forward.
