The COMPANY
Our client is an independent company that has carved itself a niche designing and supplying powertrain components (exhaust systems and other items) to OE automotive customers. Their reputation and expertise is such that several prestigious manufacturers utilise their services. We are proud to be an integral part of our client's continuing success.

The ROLE
Due to an impending retirement they now require a Quality Engineer to join the management team. This is a challenging and strategically important role which will really enthuse the successful candidate will;

*Work with Production team and approved suppliers to ensure quality continuously monitored and improved.
*Take corrective measures to ensure product matches customer requirements
*Work with cross-functional team in development of new product
*Help the business achieve and maintain ISO/TS16949 accreditation
*Produce and maintain documentation required for design, pre-production, production approval, and production processes such as APQP, PPAP, PSW, ISIR, FMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions
*Ensure all production processes, procedures, documents and records conform to ISO/TS16949
*Carry out internal audits
*Manage IMDS


The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for someone with:

*Experience of quality control in automotive sector is essential
*Knowledge of quality control methods
*Must have ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
*Excellent mechanical engineering knowledge is a prerequisite
*Qualified ISO/TS16949 Internal Auditor
*8D problem resolution and other methodologies
*Experience of IMDS an advantage
*Must be flexible in approach and responsive to changing demands and situations
*Must have an analytical approach to problem resolution

The PACKAGE
