JOB TITLE: Senior Buyer/Procurement Professional

LOCATION: Kettering
SALARY: £28-32,000 Dependent on experience & attractive package

The COMPANY
Our Northamptonshire based client is a market leading manufacturer turning over in excess of £100M. They have earned a deserved reputation for the quality of both their products and service. They have achieved this by continually investing in cutting edge technology within their production facility and, importantly, having a well trained and motivated workforce.

The ROLE
Due to continued expansion they now require a Senior Buyer/Procurement Professional to join their team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for owning a spend category within the business where duties involve;
*Demonstration of understanding within the market for raw materials
*Placing contracts and orders for raw material
*Weekly usage and stock cover analysis
*Supplier Relationship management
*Price negotiation
*Using ERP/SAP system carry out associated admin

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong team player with the desire to learn and forge a career possessing the following skill set;
*Buying experience
*Understanding of a manufacturing environment
*ERP/SAP system knowledge
*Skilled at dealing with external suppliers
*Skilled at dealing with cross functional stakeholders across multiple sites
*Knowledge of category managements tools and techniques
*Driving license essential
