Our Northamptonshire based client is the UK's leading independent manufacturer of packaging products. They have earned a deserved reputation for the quality of both their products and service. The Management Team is central to this success.

The successful Die Cut Manager will be required to take responsibility is to manage a department of two flatbed die cutters with inline flexographic printers and a 4 colour rotary die cutter. You will meet customer requirements through maximizing efficiencies, set times, downtimes and training, whilst maintaining excellent quality, safety and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities include:

*Comply with all health and safety requirements.
*Lead & Manage acceptable housekeeping standards.
*Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
*Coach and instruct operators to maximise efficiencies.
*Assist in recruitment of personnel and carryout trial periods.
*Ensure team members are developing and meeting the needs of the business.
*Ensure machine operators operate machinery to maximise the machines capabilities.
*Produce work of a high standard and to agreed specifications.
*Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues.
*Identification and reporting of issues to Engineers and assisting to resolve.
*Ensure all operators receive full training and development.
*Keep waste down to or below target levels.
*Ensure best practise between crews and other sites.
*Ensure all housekeeping standards are maintained through the use of the 5's program and hygiene standards for the sites accreditations.
*Ensure operators undertake preventative maintenance tasks.
*Carry out all associated admin including orders, agreeing lead times, complaints, new enquiries, stock control, forecasting.
*Establish and maintain solid working relationships with Customers by understanding their needs.
*Proactively inform Customers on shorts and non-deliveries.
*Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Planning, Production, Logistics, Graphics, Structural, Estimating, Technical & Management.
*Monitoring stock levels for Customers.

Our client is ideally looking for strong applicants with the following experience and attributes:
*Corrugated packaging industry background with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
*Experience of managing teams of up to 40 staff.
*Able to display the ability to coach and develop staff.
*Excellent knowledge of rotary and flatbed die cutting machinery and flexographic printing.
*Ability to instruct others in the use of machinery to gain high degrees of efficiency.
*Ideally qualifications in Health & Safety, Hygiene Standards but not essential.
*Qualifications in Lean, Continuous Improvement and Project Management would be an advantage.
