The COMPANY
Our client is an independent company that has carved itself a niche designing and supplying powertrain components (exhaust systems and other items) to OE automotive customers. Their reputation and expertise is such that several prestigious manufacturers utilise their services. We are proud to be an integral part of our client's continuing success which has resulted in a bulging order book and a recent expansion to a new purpose designed production facility.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will work in a supportive team environment at their administration offices in Daventry. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing automotive components from research through design to manufacture implementation. To do this you will be required to:

*Manage multiple projects
*Liaise closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle
*Take responsibility for PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) Documentation
*Build strong internal and external (Clients & suppliers) relationships
*Responsible for APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for someone with:

* Experience in a Project Engineering role
* A team player with a "Can Do" attitude
* Skilled problem solver - knowledge of 8D, Ishikawa, Poke Yoke, 6 Sigma
* CAD knowledge, Client uses Catia V5 Surface
* Good Mechanical Engineering knowledge - Degree (BEng Mechanical) or relevant experience
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Good communication skills
* Good MS Office skills
* Clean driving licence
