JOB TITLE: Quality Manager-Construction
JOB SUMMARY: Overseeing the running of Quality and Safety Management Systems to ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 standards.
LOCATION: West London
SALARY: C. £50k & £5K Car Allowance (or car) & Great Pension employer contributes 6%, 24 Days Holiday plus Statutory
MUST HAVES: The Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager must Experience of ISO9001 and 18001 (OHSAS) within a civil engineering or construction contractor environment.
The COMPANY
Established 50 years ago my client are a leading contractor within the construction and civil engineering industry. They have carved a niche specialising in in-situ reinforced concrete construction from concrete frames, including substructures and slipforming, to bridges and complex architectural features.
The ROLE
The successful SHEQ Manager will be required to:
*Prepare Quality Management System for reaccreditation in 2018
*Implement from scratch a QMS for smaller arms/sister companies of the business
*Introduce and integrate OHSAS18001 system into ISO9001
*Carry out site visits and complete audits and inspections as required
*Oversee Safety Management System and ensure compliance with safety legislation
*Take responsibility for Group Environmental risk
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Experience of overseeing QMS/IMS within either a civils or construction contractor environment
*A business improvement approach to Quality
*Experience of writing practical documents
*Self-motivated who can work off their own initiative
*Able to offer guidance and training as required
*NEBOSH Diploma/IOS
*Auditing qualification (desirable)
*CQI Member (desirable)
*Six Sigma Knowledge
*Environmental Awareness
