JOB TITLE: Electrical Design Engineer
JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design and coordination of electrical solutions including Low Voltage Distribution, Small Power, Communications, Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, Access Control and Lighting Protection

LOCATION: Corby
SALARY: £DOE + package
MUST HAVES: qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services; experience in similar electrical design role for building services;

The COMPANY
My client are a mechanical and electrical engineers who work in a wide range of sectors to support Architects, Designers and Construction Teams in order to bring projects to life.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Produce design sketches of variety of electrical systems
*Develop the design through all stages of the project - from planning to completion
*Check QA on your design/project work to ensure compliance with BSD standards
*Encourage lower levelled engineers to continuously develop their knowledge, arrange and attend CPD sessions
*Manage the whole design process, prepare stage reports /outline design, maintain comprehensive design files, produce written specifications & scheme design drawings for CAD

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Relevant Qualifications i.e. ONC/HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
*Previous experience within a consultancy environment.
*Technical ability:
oHave knowledge of and be up to date with the latest regulations, i.e. British Standards
oUnderstand RIBA stages
oUnderstand efficiency/sustainability
oHave knowledge and an understanding of BREEAM
oAbility to use technical packages i.e. CAD, Dialux/Relux, Amtech/ Hevacomp and 3D Naviswork.
