Specialist Automotive Fabricator
ALTERNATIVE JOB TITLES: Prototype Fabricator, Experienced Fabricator - Vintage Car Restoration, Welding/brazing/soldering - Automotive, Historic Racing - Fabricating
SALARY: £32K-£40K Equivalent of up to £20ph. CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: 7.00am - 4.00pm Mon to Fri
We are excited to be an integral part of our Client's planned growth. With a deserved reputation for the pride they take in their work our Client is the UK's acknowledged market leader in complete restoration service for historic racing, vintage and classic cars. Their team of specialists use old fashioned craft skills (metal fabrication, machining, coach building/body work, quality leather trimming, etc.) to deliver a tailored service to match their Customers needs, taking the care to deliver a premium bespoke personal service.
Due to continued expansion they now require additional Prototype Fabricator to join their supportive team. The successful applicant must posses a high level of initiative, flexibility and problem solving skills.
Reporting directly to the MD and working closely with others (such as engineers and
Machinists within the tightly knit team) you will need to be capable of understanding mechanical issues, designing and fabricating components to eliminate these problems
Our client is looking for strong team player who takes pride in their work with a history of working in the automotive/racing/classic car and the following skill set;
*Experience of MIG & Arc welding
*Knowledge of brazing and soldering
*Cutting, folding and shaping sheet metal.
* Experience working with steel, brass, copper and aluminium.
* Able to work from engineering drawings
* Ability to use different metal working equipment folders, guillotine, rolls, shrinker and English wheel.
* Proficient in riveting techniques
