JOB TITLE: 3rd Line/ IT Helpdesk Supervisor
LOCATION: Peterborough
SALARY: c. £28K - depending on experience

Our client is has a network of local IT support offices staffed by experienced business and technical specialists. They offer a proactive and bespoke service includes a mix of onsite visits and unlimited helpdesk support that give your users the help they need; whether it is fully outsourced IT support or supplementary help for an in-house team

In addition to;
*Resolving back up issues
*Basic Server admin
*Supporting firewalls
*Dealing with Server Virtualisation
*365 troubleshooting

The successful IT Helpdesk Team Leader will be required to:
*Manage team calls, ensuring that they are distributed, and assigned evenly across the team and with appropriate team members
*Ensure all call logs are updated and have the appropriate level of details
*Recognise when calls need escalating, liaising with the appropriate member of the team
*Collate and report on helpdesk activity and issues, and present at weekly and monthly team meetings
*Take appropriate action for call activity gaps in 'techdocs' to ensure that sufficient information is available to the helpdesk team
*Team supervision, motivation and development, Complete return to work meetings, PDR's and 1-2-1 meetings with team members
*Building the internal knowledge base by identifying root cause analysis and recurring issue

Our client is looking for a strong IT Helpdesk Supervisors applicant with the following experience:
*Microsoft operating systems (and server)
*Microsoft Exchange administration
*Network trouble-shooting
*Firewalls (preferably WatchGuard)
*Antivirus (preferably Sophos)
*Backup (preferably backup exec)
*Can you build a PC?
*Previous experience of managing a small, technical team would be advantageous
*Commercial awareness, has a sense for the business 'cost' of a problem
