The COMPANY
Our client is an independent company that has carved itself a niche designing and supplying powertrain components (exhaust systems and other items) at a First Tier level to OE automotive customers. Their reputation and expertise is such that several prestigious manufacturers utilise their services. We are proud to be an integral part of our client's continuing success which has resulted in a bulging order book and a recent expansion to a new purpose designed production facility.

The ROLE
Due to considerable recent inward investment and an internal promotion they are now searching for an exceptional Engineering Manager to play a key role in their continued success and growth. The right candidate will be part of a strong experienced management team at their modern production facility in Daventry.
Reporting directly to the MD, you will:

*Manage the design and development department
*Creation and analysis of DFMEA's (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
*Sign off CAD drawings and BOM's
*Deal with customers and suppliers engineering questions
*Organise the production of prototypes
*Manage the development facility and test lab
*Control of design and development budgets

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for someone with:

* Experience in a production environment
* A team player with a "Can Do" attitude
* Good production process knowledge
* Automotive experience
* Good Mechanical Engineering knowledge - Degree (BEng Mechanical) or relevant experience
* CAD knowledge, ideally CatiaV5
* Experience in signing off engineering drawings
