JOB TITLE: Transport Planning Principal/Associate
JOB SUMMARY: To assess client's transportation needs and develop plans & proposals which are acceptable to all stakeholders.

LOCATION: London
SALARY: £DOE + Package
MUST HAVES: Experience in a similar transport planning role; Competency in use of TRICS, TEMPRO, Junctions 8/9 (ARCADY/PICADY) and preferably LinSig3. Significant experience of writing transport assessments/statements and travel plans is essential with knowledge of both local authority and highway authority processes and procedures.

The COMPANY
My client are a Multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy and specialist land remediation contractor; specialising in major infrastructure projects and landmark buildings. Working in a wide range of industries such as commercial, manufacturing, logistics, retail and residential for a wide range of end users.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Providing planning-stage support for a variety of development schemes
*Preparation of technical assessment documents and reports for planning submissions
*Technical assessments of junction performance using a range of industry-standard traffic modelling software
*The drafting of travel plans and sustainability assessments
*General arrangement design work for new junctions and accesses onto the road network
*Attending project meetings and conducting on-site visits
*Attending planning appeals/public inquiries etc.
*Client liaison/business development
*Mentoring of junior staff
*Attending public consultation events

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Significant experience of writing transport assessments/statements and travel plans is essential
*Knowledge of both local authority and highway authority processes and procedures.
*Competent in the use of TRICS, TEMPRO, Junctions 8/9 (ARCADY/PICADY) and preferably LinSig3
*Strong written, numeracy and verbal communication skills and a client-focussed approach to your work
