Senior IT Field Service Engineer
LOCATION: High Wycombe
SALARY: Up to £40,000 - £45,000 + car
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
MUST HAVES: Previous experience as an IT Field Service Engineer looking after a variety of different businesses.
Our client is has a network of local IT support offices staffed by experienced business and technical specialists. They offer a proactive and bespoke service includes a mix of onsite visits and unlimited helpdesk support that give your users the help they need; whether it's fully outsourced IT support or supplementary help for an in-house team
The successful IT Field Service Engineer will be required to:
*Be the IT Manager for a portfolio of Clients
*Carry out preventative checks and maintenance to ensure optimum performance of the clients systems.
*Deliver fixes to priority issues that cannot be resolved by the Helpdesk during on- site visits.
*Provide briefing / handover of all projects to the Helpdesk.
*Use questioning during visits and review meetings to develop a detailed insight into the client business and priorities
*Analyse technical issues at the client in order to make recommendations to improve future performance
*Create the IT roadmap for, and review this for each client, that provides an overview of future activity, the days required to deliver it and further products and services that will be of value.
*Manage quarterly review meetings with all clients, carrying out the necessary preparation and follow up of actions.
*Plan and implement project work identified in the roadmap with minimum disruption and maximum improvement in performance
*'Backsell' the value of recommendations, solutions and fixes provided, to relevant stakeholders in the client.
*Present the value of additional products, services and days on-site as part review meetings, contract day meetings and using the roadmap where appropriate.
*Write proposals for products, services, projects, contract changes to communicate the value for the client, and adhere to branding and quality sign off processes.
*Create visits reports after each site visit and provide to client
Our client is looking for a strong IT Field Service Engineer applicant with the following experience:
*Minimum 12 months in a field technical support role and 6 years in IT support
*Minimum 4 MCP's
*Veeam trained / qualified
*Hyper V trained / qualified
*Citrix trained / qualified
*Installation and support of VMWare / Hyper V clustering
*Configure and support SAN's
*Cisco knowledge / experience
*Advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft server hardware and software including Exchange
*Firewalls, Antivirus and Backup expertise - installation and advanced troubleshooting skills
*Comprehensive networking skills
*Business case / proposal preparation and report writing
*Managing a client meeting
*Able to define an IT strategy / plan for a client
*A driver with a full clean driving licence.
