SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment Quality Manager)
JOB SUMMARY: To support the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Assurance side of the business by supervising and co-ordinating work systems to ensure the company meets the highest quality standards.
MUST HAVES: NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate, Knowledge/experience of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 (OHSAS), in date First Aid at Work certificate
My client are a highly experienced sustainable residential developer. We have been building low carbon homes and commercial buildings for over ten years across the UK
The successful candidate will be required to:
*The SHEQ Advisor will support the safety, health, environment and quality assurance side of the business. He/she will supervise and co-ordinate work systems to ensure that the company meet the highest quality standards.
*Help managers to implement the SHE Management System, maintain minimum standards, monitor compliance and provide appropriate reports when required
*Advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing SHEQ related legislation, rules and company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, site inspections of company and contractors sites.
*Investigate accidents, environmental incidents and third party complaints.
*Liaise with official and professional bodies.
*Maintain an up to date working knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, guidance etc., and disseminate formally and informally to applicable persons.
*Ensure on-going compliance with ISO 9001, 140001 and ISO 50001 standards by auditing reviewing and reporting.
*Accounting for legislation and forthcoming regulations, the frame work of 18001 (ISO 45001) would be used to operate a managed, safe and healthy working environment.
*The successful individual will require an assertive but engaging personality, excellent communication and computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and a broad appreciation of the challenges of working within a construction company and knowledge of the CDM Regulations.

Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Essential)
*Qualification in, or detailed experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 Management Systems (Essential)
*Current Full First Aid at Work Certificate (Essential)
*NEBOSH Fire Certificate (Desirable)
*NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Desirable)
*Environmental Management Systems Qualification(Desirable)
*Graduate IOSH Status or CMIOSH status (Desirable)
