JOB TITLE: Buyer
JOB SUMMARY: Successful candidate will be accountable for the effective procurement of good and services, supporting the requirements of the Project Team and effective integration of the suppliers
LOCATION: Northants
SALARY: £27-30,000pa
MUST HAVES: Experience of buying/procurement within a construction or civil engineering environment. Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
The COMPANY
My client are a leading contractor within the construction and civil engineering industry with projects varying from highways/infrastructure to bridge repairs and commercial builds.
The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Produce orders from site requisitions on a daily basis
*Hire plant
*Schedule materials
*Produce cost analysis
*Distribute purchase orders to suppliers and sites
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*CIPS qualification (desirable)
*Experience of buying/procurement in the construction/civil engineering sector
*Strong negotiation skills
*Sound financial and analytical skills
*Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
