JOB TITLE: Health and Safety Manager
JOB SUMMARY: To develop and implement Health and Safety best practice, ensuring the Company complies with current Health and Safety legislation and approved codes of practice.
LOCATION: Bridlington
SALARY: £30-35,000pa
MUST HAVES: Experience of safety management in a food production environment.
The COMPANY
My Client supply a quality range of beef and lamb carcase and primal cuts throughout the Continent. With sales and marketing offices positioned throughout Europe, they offer a close relationship with all of our retail, foodservice and manufacturing customers and we continually strive to serve their requirements as efficiently as possible.
The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is implemented consistently
*Monitor, evaluate and review H&S Policy and Practice (and develop and implement new policy and procedure documents as required.
*Develop, implement and evaluate a Health and Safety Action Plan
*Develop and deliver training sessions for managers and frontline employees.
*Assist line managers in implementing Health and Safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting and the control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), in a consistent and effective manner.
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Practical experience of H&S in a fast paced food manufacturing environment
*Hold (or be working towards) NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
*NEBOSH General Certificate
*Passionate about Safety and able to influence at all levels
*Experience of developing and delivering training
*Good understanding of Environmental Law
*Hold an Environmental qualification (Desirable)
*Strong knowledge of ISO14001
