JOB TITLE: Onsite IT Support Technician- Education (contract role)
JOB SUMMARY: To support and maintain network systems and all IT for three Primary schools.
LOCATION: Northamptonshire
SALARY: £25,000 - £29,000
CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary
The COMPANY
Our client is an Academy trust and is looking for an Interim IT Manager/Support to look after three of their primary schools.
The ROLE
The successful IT Support Technician will be required to:
*Provide on-site IT systems management to three primary schools.
*Be responsible for updating and maintaining all IT systems.,
*Be responsible for managing, maintaining and updating the school's SIMS network system.
*Undertake regular server maintenance, housekeeping including virus checking and daily backups.
*Be responsible for the maintenance, set up and testing ICT equipment, including peripherals.
*Be responsible for ensuring technical support is provided to all ICT users within the school.
*Be competent and confident with the range of common software and hardware in the school and provide advice and support to departments, staff and students on use of hardware and software, including structured in-class support where appropriate.
*Back up support and escalation are available.
*A successful candidate will be required to have a CRB / DBS checked.
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong IT Support Technician applicants with the following experience:
*Experience of IT helpdesk at least up to the level of 2nd Line.
*Proven IT support and customer facing skills
*Working knowledge of Troubleshooting and problem resolutions
*Understanding of Windows Operating systems, Networks,
*To have worked in a School would be an advantage though not an imperative.
