Salary: c. £24,250 - £29,000 + Good package

Our client is an independent company who have carved themselves a niche supplying/designing powertrain components (exhausts, and other specialist Automotive components) to OE Automotive customers. Their reputation and expertise is such that many of the most prestigious manufactures utilise their services. We are proud to be an integral part of our client's continuing success which has resulted in a bulging order book and a recent expansion to a new purpose designed production facility. The company received the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2016.
Due to continued expansion an opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled welder to become an integral part of our Client's production team. Duties will include;
*Welding activities to Class 1 standards using predominantly MIG & some TIG welding on common welded joints
*Provide technical support and on the job training to less experienced welders
*Work as part of the team to deliver process and procedural improvements on an ongoing basis
*Specification and commissioning of new weld plant and automation machinery
*Assist in the writing of SOPs, PFMEA's, Control plans and risk assessments for both plant and machinery operation and specific product related operations.
The right candidate will possess;
*Experience within a similar environment
*Class 1 Welding experience
*Skilled at MIG welding
*Mechanical Engineering background
*Ability to read Manufacturing Drawings
*The desire and ability to contribute to the team
*Excellent verbal & written communication skills
